And now the news:
---------- ScreenShop replaces Home Shopping Network
ScreenShop, which has been broadcasting for a while now on Astra 1D,
transponder 56, has now replaced the Home Shopping Network Direct on all
three of its transponders on Astra 1B/1C (it used to share with
Discovery, Bravo and UK Gold). ScreenShop would appear either to have
bought out HSND, or become its new image. Now that ScreenShop has
replaced these channels, the question is, will it continue on
transponder 56?
---------- Sirius 2 launch soon!!!
Sirius 2 will launch with Ariane V102 on November 7th; the launch time
is about 21:48 UTC. Sirius 2 will be positioned at 5,2 degrees east and
will provide broadcasting for Scandinavia and Central & Northern Europe,
as well as replace the aging Tele-X craft. For more info, see the launch
