Questions: I have seen the discussions about the costs of Astra digital Radio (Adr) vs
Digital transmissions (MPEG).
1. Why do so many German radio stations broadcast in Adr? Is it to
feed the DAB transmitters in Germany? Is it cheaper than using a landbased
digital feed?
2. I have heard that you can subscribe to the digital radio package using
DSR in German cable-TV networks. Is it possible to subscribe to adr packages
in German cable as well?
3. Do anyone know the number of adr receivers sold in Germany until
now?
