ARABSAT 2B LAUNCH
-----------------
The Ariane V92, with on board the Arabsat 2B for 21 Arab countries and
Measat 2 for Malaysia, have launched with an exeptional precise launch
by Arianespace yesterday evening 11:40 CET. Both satellites transmitted
soon after separation from the launcher their telemetric, and status
data. The Arabsat 2B will be positioned at 31.5 East, taking over the
duties of Arabsat 1C which itself will be relocated to the empty
location from Ex-Arabsat 1D-R on 20 East, performing telecommunication
duties.

A txm of the launch could be seen on:

INTELSAT 602, 63 East, txpr 38A, 4.166 GHz, Rc
ARABSAT 1C, 31 East, txpr 18, 4.033 GHz, Lc

HOT BIRD 2 LAUNCH
-----------------
For the second day in a row had the launch of the Atlas Rocket, with
onboard Eutelsat's Hot Bird 2, to be postponed due to strong winds. Last
launch window in this week is Friday evening. After that the launch of
the Space Shutttle gets the priority, then the launch of HB2 is not to
be expected prior to Wednesday next week.

GORIZONT 24 & EXPRESS 6, 80 East
-----------------------
SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/g24.html

An improvement of TV6 and RTR could also not be observed today. However
there was plenty of activity on this position. During the day both
existing channels became visible, dissappeared, changed frequencies,
whenever a stable picture could be seen, they returned to the known
frequencies. In my opinion, a lot of testing is going on, but official
transferred to the Express are these channels not yet.

Empty carriers could be observed today, at various times, on: 3.675 Rc,
3.725 Rc, 3.825 Rc, 3.850 Rc, 3.875 Rc, 3.925 Rc, 3.985 Rc, 4.025 Rc,
4.050 Rc, 4.080 Rc, 4.125 Rc, 3.965 Lc and 3.995 Lc.
