SATCO DX - Updates 1-7 September

This is a summary of last week's updates to SATCO DX Satellite

National Geographic Channel has replaced Sky 2 on 11,303 H (tp 7).

Granada Talk TV on 10,862 H (tp 59) has ceased.
Sky News in MPEG-2 has replaced Astra Vision on 10,832 H (tp 57).


--- Intelsat 707:  http://www.satcodx.com/i707.html
BBC Prime has left 11,133 V, is now only on 11,679 H.


--- Thor 1:  http://www.satcodx.com/thor1.html
Canal + Sverige (=Sweden) replaced FilmNet 1 Nordic
on 12,092 R, D2-MAC/Eurocrypt M/S2.

Canal + Gul (=Yellow) replaced FilmNet 2 Nordic
on 12,015 R, D2-MAC/Eurocrypt M/S2.
This is the common Nordic Canal + channel.

CNN International has left 11,785 R, is onw only on
Intelsat 707: 11,485 H for Scandinavia.

Sky started with promotions on 11,773 R, D2-MAC/clear.

Canal + Danmark (=Denmark) has replaced FilmNet 1 Nordic
on 11,261 H, D2-MAC/Eurocrypt M/S2.

Canal + Norge (=Norway) has replaced FilmNet 1 Nordic
on 11,293 H, D2-MAC/Eurocrypt M/S2.

Here is the new line-up on 11,278 V:
0200/var.: Canal + Gul
0201/0294: Canal + Sverige
0202/029E: Canal + Finland
0203/var.: Hallmark Nordic
0204/02B2: Canal + Norge
0205/02BC: Nelonen
0206/02C6: Canal + Danmark

Intelsat 701 has replaced Intelsat 511 at 180 East.
All channels remain on their old frequencies.

This satellite is now in orbit at 144 East, and commercial
operation is expected to begin in October.

Raj TV has left 3,725 L, is now only on Thaicom 3: 3,640 V.


--- Intelsat 704 at 66E:  http://www.satcodx.com/i704.html
Vijay TV has left 4,180 R, is now only on Thaicom 3: 3,616 V.

NEPC TV has again left 4,060 L.

Microspace has started a package on 11,940 H, MPEG-2/Nagravision,
with this line-up: WRAL-TV, Serbian Satellite TV, TV Polonia,
National Pharmacy TV, TechNet/Signature Network TV and
Caliber Learning Network.

Deutsche Welle TV has started on 4,140 V (W1-22), NTSC/clear.
They are still on Satcom C4: 3,800 V (C4-05)

The Colombian package on 3,840 R has switched from Digicipher 1
to Digicipher 2.

Hot Bird 3 was successfully launched with Ariane V99 on 2 Sept.,
to be located at 13 East.

GE 3 was successfully launched with Atlas AC-146 on 4 Sept.,
will replace Spacenet 3R at 87 West.


=== INTERNAL:
The next weekly update will be sent out on 21 September,
and not on 14 September.

The number of visitors on the main page of SATCO DX Satellite
Chart has just passed 400.000, according to the counter,
with about 2.500 visitors daily.
