SATCO DX Satellite Chart - Updates 2-8 June

This is a summary of last week's updates to the service.

Numerous occasional feeds have been added the last week
on several satellites in Europe.

ThaiWave left 11,163 H on 31 May, but will be back in three
months in digital format.

The Greek channels Mega Channel, ANT 1, ET 1 and ET 2 have
started on 11,823 H, MPEG-2/IRDETO.

Several transponders have been tested on Thor 2, with strong
signals in Scandinavia and Germany.

CCTV 4 has started on 4,144 V, MPEG-2/clear
ATN - Asia TV Network has moved from 4,179 V to 4,155 H

--- Intelsat 801 at 62E:  http://www.satcodx.com/i801.html
The first reported transmissions on Intelsat 801 took place
on 8 June! IRIB TV 1/2/3/4 have started on the Ku band,
in SECAM, with this line-up: 
10,964 V: IRIB TV 4
10,998 V: IRIB TV 2
11,096 V: IRIB TV 3
11,174 V: IRIB TV 1
They are still available on Intelsat 602 at 63E.

Insat 2D was successfully launched with Ariane V97 on
3 June, at 23:20 UTC (4 June, 04:50 New Delhi time).
It will be co-located with Insat 2A at 74 East.

Rescheduled Atlas Launches:
* Echostar 3, from 19 August to 21 September.
* Galaxy 8I, from 12 September to 18 November.
* Eutelsat W24 (f1) will launch on 22 January 1998.
* Sky 2, from December 1998 to 30 March 1998.
