And now the news:

---------- Animal Planet gone from Eutelsat II-F1

Animal Planet has now left its old frequency on Eutelsat II-F1, and is
only available on HotBird 1. The former frequency on Eutelsat II-F1
(11,055 H) is now only being used by Fashion TV, all day. Presumably,
Fashion TV is not sharing Animal Planet's frequency on HotBird 1.

---------- BBC News 24 now on Orion F1

Channel 5 is now encrypted once again on Intelsat 705 and Orion F1 in
its digital feeds. However, the main point here is that on 11,525 V, on
Orion F1, one of Channel 5's packages, a third channel has started,
entitled BBC News 24. This is presumably the BBC's new 24-hour news
channel to rival Sky News, which will be able on cable networks soon.
