And now the news:

---------- TRANSPONDER 24 AGAIN!!!
Thanx for all the info on this subject - I'm very grateful. This is what
we've sussed so far:
This transponder is/was today being used from 05.00 - 05.00 BST for
tests. The channel seems to be Sky Entertainment, a new channel aimed at
Scandinavia comprising of sections from Sky 1/2 and Granada TV.

It is encrypted in videocrypt 1 and cannot be access by mere
subscribers. They were indeed playing CMTE earlier, but then
incorporated other things.

It is most probable that this is a test for Sky's planned new bouquet
for Scandinavia. As you may know, Sky has teamed up with
Nethold/MultiChoice (now Canal+ Scandinavia) to provide a Sky package
for that region. It will be launched in digital on Thor 2 (or so we're
told), but apparently, they're going to launch a "taster channel" for
Scandinavians. This is probably not that channel, as Scandinavia does
not often receive channels encrypted in videocrypt, nor on Astra
(anymore). Besides, this channel has been listed in the Sky TV Guide for
yonks - why would Sky suddenly change it?

Anyway, more information as it happens - next report won't be until
tomorrow afternoon. Once again, thanx for the information.
