THAICOM 3, 78.5 East, http://www.satcodx.com/thai3.html
---------
This recently launched satellit is still moving westwards to 78.5 East,
currently located around 80 East.

transmissions from the nearby Express 6).

INTELSAT 801, 64E, http://www.satcodx.com/i801.html

Intelsat 801 has now reached its final orbital position at 64 East.

ARABSAT 2B, 30.5 East, http://www.satcodx.com/a2b.html
----------
Farsi languaged Baztab is receivable from transponder 19, 4.126 GHz, Rc,
as well as from transponder 17, 4.085 GHz, Rc, lately.

A comment from Christian Lyngemark brought a whole new view on the
subject:
* Baztab was actually changing between very often during the
transmission, and sometimes they were visible on both transponder.
It looked like they were being jammed and used two transponder in order
to try to avoid jamming...? *

Baztab Entertainment TV appeared today at 18:45 CEST at first on 4.126
GHz, Rc, only to switch a little later back to the initial frequency of
4.085 GHz, Rc.

Any comments on the subject please to the mail address below, all
incoming mail will be automatically forwarded to Christian Lyngemark.

HOT BIRD 1, 13 East, http://www.satcodx.com/hb1.html
----------
Polsat on transponder 11, 11.431 GHz, H, did finally encrypt the
transmission of its movies tonight. A great experience ! :-((
The audio stayed in the clear.

EUTELSAT II-f2, 10 East, http://www.satcodx.com/e2f2.html
--------------
A new Turkish TV channel "Haak TV" broadcasted the weekend between circa
18:00 and 20:00 CEST on transponder 22, 11.163 GHz, H. An on-screen
address was noted:
HAAK TV
Neusser Str. 418
D- 59733 Cologne - GERMANY
Tel +49-221-976553-0
Fax +49-221-976553-6
(Info kindly submitted by Gerard Hemmer via SAT-Stefan's Transponder
News)

INTELSAT 601, 27.5 West, http://www.satcodx.com/i601.html
------------
WorldNet has been relaying NASA TV on Intelsat 601, Intelsat 703
(analogue) and Hot Bird 1 (MPEG-2), during this weekend.
The reason for this is yet unknown, published scheduled programming did
not appear ( gopher://gopher.voa.gov:70/11/worldnet-ske ).

Info on NASA-TV can be obtained from:

			http://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/pao/ntv.html

The analogue transmissions of MCM Africa have now finally ceased on
3.650 GHz, Rc. It has been followed up by a French MPEG-2 digital
package for Africa, which has done frequent night-testing on this
transponder.

It was the last free-to-air version of MCM receivable analogue in the
Middle East. :-(( For me, a reason more to add a good digital receiver
to my TV set-up.

PANAMSAT 3-R, 43 West, http://www.satcodx.com/pas3r.html
------------
Sunday evening again transmissions of the Worldliga Football from
Holland. The game Barcelona versus Amsterdam was seen on 12.576 GHz, H,
with audio carriers on 7.20 MHz for the stadium sound and 7.38 for the
Spanish commentary.

Transmissions from de Kuip Stadium in Rotterdam continued with the same
parameters on Monday Evening. The uplink to Panamsat 3-R was done via an
earth station on Hollands coast, in Noordwijk.
