A FEW HEADLINES IN THIS 97.04.11 REPORT:

Not receivable in the Middle East, but due to its origine of general
interest: ART Australia has started on 3.745 GHz, H, in PAL,
Free-To-Air, on the Pacific Rim beam.
The programming consist of a selection of the ART channels as found in
ART Europe, ART Africa, ART America and ART Latino, including B&W and
colour movies, plus music clips. Excellent picture quality in Southern
Australia.

SME Comment 1: Maybe one of the Australian readers has time to comment
on this message, did the reception of the Shopping Network 3.750 GHz, V,
decrease ? Are there any kind of interferences do to the little distance
in frequency ? What are the used audio subcarriers ? Quality of picture
& sound ?

The tests on frequency 3.975 GHz, Rc, showed today a double transmission
of NTV. The channel was available until late afternoon in an identical
superior quality as seen on 4.075 GHz, Rc, receivable. It is yet unclear
if and when one of the channels whill be changed to new programming.
