THE HEADLINEs IN THIS 97.03.26 REPORT:

- TV3 back on E6
- MCM encryption
- Bits & Pieces

EXPRESS 6, 80 East, http://www.satcodx.com/e6.html
---------
Sudden return, in old glory, of TV3 on frequency 4.125 GHz, Rc.

INTELSAT 703, 57 East, http://www.satcodx.com/i703.html
------------
Joris van Pelt in Oman reports a new service on 3.856 GHz, Rc, of Astro,
Singapore, with an audio subcarrier on 7.20 MHz.
Check it out if you're in KSA or around the Gulf States.

The near East will not have much fun of the channel, as it is
transmitted on an Indian Zone beam and not on the hemispheric one.
Visible reception in Cairo is unfortunately not possible, the channel
can just be recognized, with the help of all technical tricks.

HOT BIRD 1, 13 East, http://www.satcodx.com/hb1.html
----------
MCM Euromusique anounced, in on-screen messages, the encryption of the
signal from 00.00 CET on 1 April. I expect this will be the final date,
as it was already postponed once.

HOT BIRD 2, 13 East, http://www.satcodx.com/hb2.html
----------
Polonia 1 on transponder 63, 11.977 GHz, H, became today almost
unreceivable in Cairo, due to a reduction in saturation of the used
transponder. With lots of treshold, an the use of a sync-inserter, is
still a picture visible with crackling sound.

EUTELSAT II-f4-M, 7 East, http://www.satcodx.com/hb2.html
----------------
RTS-SAT will broadcast the full program schedule via the EUTELSAT II-F2
satellite, transponder 39, 11.658 GHz, V, while its programs via
EUTELSAT II F4, transponder 22B, 11.178 GHz, H, will be available only
between 18:00-20:30 Hrs.
Information kindly supplied by Branislav Pekic, via SAT-ND, 25/03/97.

INTELSAT 707, 1 West, http://www.satcodx.com/i707.html
------------
Transponder 73B, 11.176 GHz, V, showed tonight instead of Israel Channel
2, the "EMEQ HAELA" test card. Unchanged the transmissions of Channel 2
on 11.015 GHz, V, transponder 111X-B.

EXPRESS 2, 14 East, http://www.satcodx.com/e2.html
---------
The signal on frequency 3.975 GHz, Rc, has been reduced in power today,
but a transmission, most probably in MPEG-2, takes place.
Content and data unknown.

Best regards,

Henk C. Room / Sat-MidEast / Cairo - Egypt
