I was wrong in reporting a new logo for Abu Dhabi TV. It hasn't changed.
The logo yesterday reported is only used during news broadcast. My
apologies for this hick-up.

Previous Kuwait TV transponder 7, 12.646 GHz, H, was activated today
with a low signal carrier. No sound carriers available.

Lybia showing only an empty carrier on transponder 10, 12.700 GHz, V,
this morning.

NTV on transponder 37, 11.575 GHZ, V, was yesterday eveing only
receivable in a poor quality, with very low signal levels.

On frequency 12.701 GHz, H, ABC was broadcasting in NTSC throughout the
night until 07:15 CET. Sound carriers were on 6.20 and 6.80 MHz. The
station code was as usual on 8.28 MHz.

The Panamsat testcard in PAL was transmitted at the same time on 12.699
GHz, V.

STAR TV LAUNCHES NEW SIX-CHANNEL PACKAGE FOR THE MIDDLE EAST EXCLUSIVELY
ON 
THE ORBIT NETWORK

Dubai - STAR TV (Middle East) Ltd. and the Orbit Satellite Television

six

channels, Sky News, Channel [V] International and Viva Cinema, will be
added 
to the package in April of this year.

STAR Plus International on STAR Select is an all-English language
channel 
broadcasting television favorites such as Baywatch, Picket Fences and
NYPD 
Blue. NBC, America s leading television network, provides a mix of
travel, 
the arts, dramas, documentaries, movies, sports and current affairs 
programmes. Its sister channel, CNBC, broadcasts global business and 
financial news from key business capitals of the world. STAR Sports
features 
sporting action 24 hours a day. STAR Movies provides a wide selection of 
movies and features from around the world. The Fox Kids Network, one of
the 
top-rated children's channels from the US, will broadcast a combination
of 
cartoons and live-action educational programmes for children between the 
ages of two and eleven.

The complete bouquet of STAR Select channels is available for US $20.00
per 
month, and all new subscribers receive the first month of viewing free. 
Additional discounts are available to subscribers who pay their fees on
a 
bi-annual or annual basis.
