NEW RUSSIAN TV CHANNEL "THE CULTURE" WAS LAUNCHED

According to the Decree of the President of Russia Boris Yeltsin the new TV
channel "The Culture" was launched on 1 November. This channel is created
instead of the least popular state-owned Channel 5 "St.-Petersburg" and use
its terrestrial transmitters for broadcasting of the programs. "The Culture" is
organized with the purpose of increase of a cultural level of the Russia's popula-
tion.
The new channel consist of the programs connected with the classical music, art
and literature, theatrical performances and the best domestic and foreign movies.
Now you can see "The Culture" on Intelsat 604, 11.135 V in the RTR-Signal pa-
ckage in MPEG-2/clear with parameters:
videoPID 002B, audioPID 002C, syncPID 002F.
