I did my best and had to pay off some people ;-) here are the results:
At least one very well known company is discussing it´s new models,
expected on the market in September/Octobre, which will work with MPEG
4:2:2-standard (down-compatible). Another development is the use of new
Zero IF chip from Philips (TDA8060). This chip removes the need for any
IF-stages in the receiver and the result is a reduction of errors in
MPEG-signals. Also costs of production will go down, beacuse this chips
eliminate the need of frequency-mixer-oscillator, IF-amplifier and
band-pass filter.
